An antique Japanese bronze temple bell known as a Bonsho with a carrying handle depicting diverging dragon heads called Ryuzu. The upper protrusions called chi chi or nye improves the resonance of sound. There are two opposing striking panels called Tsuki-za upon which the bell should be struck for the best and longest sound. Large bells such as this one are found in Buddhist temples throughout Japan and they are used to summon the monks to prayer.

Antique Chinese small bowl carved of deep spinach green jade. Lobed in form and with four small feet. It stands on a carved hardwood base. Beautiful mottled translucent jade.

An antique Japanese bronze cast crow standing on a Momiji (Maple) wood Kadai (flat natural wood stand). Having just landed, it appears to be getting familiar with its surroundings. One can almost imagine its caw to stake out its territory. Fine feathers and claws show the detail that went into the casting of this piece.

An antique Japanese Kansai merchant display store tansu made of Hinoki (Cypress) and Suginoki (Cryptomeria) woods. Constructed using through mortise and tenon Japanese joinery with horizontal side ribs for strength and support. Most likely used for the display of large tall items, a customized shelf could be added for an additional charge.

A Japanese Netsuke hand carved from Tsugenoki (Boxwood). Depicting a moon viewing rabbit, its paws, eyes and ears are very well detailed. Artist signed at the base.

A fine example of an 18th C. Tibetan painted leaver hide over hardwood trunk. Original hand forged fifties are in place. Along with original ring an loop style hinged top. Top hinges open to reveal open storage area. Very sturdy in construction and can hold up to modern day use without issue.
