Chinese antique necklace made of silver and carved jade. A pendant of combined pieces: a carved green jade seated figure on a cloud of swirling mist from which hangs three gourd-shaped green jade pieces. The chain is set with little shòu (longevity) symbols with bats and hung with more gourd-shaped jades. All pieces are mounted with silver and the clasp is stamped.

Japanese antique broach in the form of an old man, Okina performance mask. The pin is made of bronze and silver mixed metal with details in red lacquer. Backed in silver with a silver mark and pin. Nepalese antique bronze bracelet with tiny raised deities. The figures are applied upright or laying flat on the surface and surrounded by decorative granulation. Age and handling have worn the likenesses and developed a warm patina.

Tibetan antique Buddhist conch shell trumpet (sankha). The shell is wrapped in silver which has an intricate repoussé design of scrolling vines and auspicious objects. It is inset with small cabochons of coral, turquoise and lapis. The conch shell itself is considered auspicious. It represents the deep, melodious sound of the Buddha's voice which wakes up disciples "from the slumber of ignorance".

Japanese antique eight lobed dish with gold and shell inlaid lacquer (shibayama). Each lobe is decorated in makie, the flora and fauna of the four seasons with archaic designs set in between. The central area of the dish is depicting a female figure holding a lotus with a child attendant holding a bouquet of lotuses. The bottom is crafted in nashiji lacquer with a gold lacquer signature set in a medallion motif reading: Kaneko Zo, or Produced by Kaneko.

A very large jade (nephrite) carving of a good luck ram.

The word for ram in Chinese sounds similar to the word for auspicious thus making this animal a symbol for good luck and prosperity. In Japan, the ram is one of the lucky Zodiac animals representing goodness, gentleness and harmony with the herd.
