Antique Chinese 8 panel coromandel screen with a carved lacquer palace scene of noble figures on one side, pine trees and animals on the other. An inscription states that the screen was carved in the eleventh month of the thirty-second year of Kangxi. There is a poem that talks about the proud and powerful pine tree reaching for the sky and an approaching storm. Song Dynasty 'Henan' black and iron-oxide glazed Meiping pottery vase or jar. Oval form with high shoulders and small mouth with loop handles on either side. The almost abstract design of two large flowers is freely painted. Lovely rich black glaze on buff color pottery. Unglazed circular foot with glazed inset bottom.
