The red pattern, which later became known as the “Ban Chiang Rope”, characterizes the clay jars that are around 5,000-7,000 years old, and, perhaps, some of the oldest in the world.

An antique large bronze Laotian rain drum. Beautiful detailed relief work. Twelve pointed star in the top center of the drum. Four pairs of playful frogs decorate the rim. Two pairs of side handles to each opposing side. Age patina acquired over its very long age of use and display.

Antique Thai Buddhist amulet, Phra Somdej "King of Amulets". The amulet itself is made of baked clay in the form of a seated Buddha or Bodhisattva. It is enclosed in an unusually fine silver metal case with intricate incised designs. Phra Somdej are important in that they are believed to bring the wearer wealth, good health, good fortune, social and romantic success, Karmic merit, and protection from harm or danger.
