A vintage iron garden lantern featuring a grapevine motif with hinged door and votive candle holder on the inner floor. Beautiful aged patina and a cast finial depicting a knotted ring. Grape leaves drape the top of the roof. Marked with an incised Taiwan at the bottom.

An antique Japanese Imari charger in blue and white with a hand painted scene of two mated cranes, a strong bamboo tree and Peonies as its central image. Diamond shapes with stylized Chrysanthemums border the interior rim and mountain ranges with dotted clouds surround the exterior of the plate. Six original stilt marks to the bottom of the charger indicate the charger was fired in the upper section of the kiln.

Mounted Egyptian Ba-bird amulet. Five clay faience (blue -green) stone. Hand carved with outstretches wings. Custom Bronze stand for presentation. Traces of the original pigment intact.

These Ba-bird amulets were placed on the chest of a mummy, presumably as protective substitute for an individual’s own ba. A detailed leather sculpture of a scorpion by contemporary Japanese leather artist Ko Kono. ko Kono was born in Uwajima city, Aichi Province, Japan in 1956. He attended Kyoto Saga university of Arts and lives near Kyoto.
Each piece is a one of one with the artist never repeating the same insect twice.

Large Japanese natural hand formed ceramic sculpture by the artist Yamaguchi Mio. Looks as if it has grown out from a coral reef underwater. This example is one of only three that I know the artist created of this scale One is currently on display at the Chicago institute of Arts, the second is in a private European collection.
Her inspiration lies in the steady growth of natural objects, pine cones, the growth of life over season, years, and eons.

Pair of Italian glass ghost lamps by Gino Vistosi. The Italian mid century murano white glass table lamps in a ghost / spirit shape with a translucent wedge segment slightly above a molded fulcrum point. Both are in original working condition.

A vintage Japanese iron garden lantern with six sided roof and Hoju finial. Mounted to a natural looking tree trunk with roots extended for feet and a decorative lucky gourd shaped cutout in the trunk. It is wired for evening light.

An antique Japanese Choba Tansu (merchant chest) made entirely of Kiri (Paulownia) wood. All original hand forged iron hardware with naturally acquired patina. Used by a store owner to keep business supplies, money and valuables, store business records and writing tools. The hinged security door has two small drawers of which the bottom drawer hides a secret box.
