Antique Japanese tantō blade and ornately carved bone saya for a member of the samurai class. The saya case and tantō handle show a dynamic scene of nine children all sporting fans while two finely dressed women try to keep them in line. Also pictured are two smiling scholars, one holding his own larger fan while the other observes the fray with from the safety of the window.

Antique Chinese Dehua (blanc de Chine) porcelain figure of a sage seated on a gnarled rock. Hands folded in his lap, his countenance is serene. His beard is long and he has slippered feet. White transparent glaze with attractive pooling in the recesses. The figure is He Chaozong with a impressed double gourd mark and impressed rectangular seal of the 17th century master potter. These seals are most likely apochryphal from the 20th century.

This Chinese yellow-glazed porcelain plate features an incised five-clawed dragon among clouds, surrounding a shou (壽) character at the center, symbolizing longevity. The rim is decorated with a continuous wave pattern.
The underside bears a Chenghua reign mark (成化大明年制) in underglaze blue, enclosed within double circles. Yellow-glazed porcelain was historically associated with the imperial court during the Ming and Qing dynasties.
