This rare Edo period kabuto takes the form of a monkey, a highly unusual and striking design, crafted in lacquer over iron with real monkey fur applied to the head and ears for lifelike realism. Armorers of the time built the base of the helmet from expertly hammered iron plates, shaped to create a rounded, protective bowl. An antique Japanese Tansu chest known as a Kotansu made entirely of Kiri (Paulownia) wood. An antique Japanese Sendai Tansu kimono chest made of Keyaki (Zelkova) and Sugi (Cryptomeria) woods. All original Urushi lacquer finish and hand forged iron hardware. Side by side top drawers denotes the matriarch design. Three large drawers, two smaller drawers and a hinged security door that hides two drawers for valuables completes the storage.

Japanese antique carved wooden figure of a frog (kaeru). Kaeru, which also means "to return", are associated with luck and good fortune. Figures of frogs are given as gifts to those who travel so that they may return safely home. Frogs are considered messengers and represent prosperity, fertility, and the coming of Spring. This kaeru is carved with details of bumpy skin, lacquered eyes and has an artist's signature on his belly.

Japanese antique ikebana basket for flower arranging. Made of split bamboo and woven in a tight chevron pattern. Standing on six feet, the vertical supports and handle are made of naturally formed bamboo rhizomes. The foot of the basket is hexagonal in form and gradually the body of the basket splays outward ending in a wider rounded rim.
